দুর্নীতি, অপরাধ ও সামাজিক বৈষম্যের বিরুদ্ধে মানবিক বাংলাদেশ গড়ার প্রত্যয়ে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন বিশিষ্ট সাংবাদিক ও সমাজসেবক মুনীর চৌধুরী। তার প্রতিষ্ঠিত মুনীর চৌধুরী প্রাইভেট ডিটেকটিভ লিমিটেড–এর উদ্যোগে দেশ ও মানুষের কল্যাণে তিনি প্রতিদিন ১৪ থেকে ১৫ ঘণ্টা স্বেচ্ছাশ্রম দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন।
জানা গেছে, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে অনুসন্ধানী সাংবাদিকতার পাশাপাশি সমাজ থেকে অপরাধ নির্মূল, দুর্নীতিবিরোধী সচেতনতা সৃষ্টি এবং সাধারণ মানুষের অধিকার রক্ষায় সক্রিয় ভূমিকা পালন করে আসছেন তিনি। স্থানীয় পর্যায় থেকে জাতীয় পর্যায় পর্যন্ত বিভিন্ন অনিয়ম, অপরাধ ও সামাজিক অবক্ষয়ের বিরুদ্ধে জনসচেতনতা গড়ে তুলতে নিয়মিত কাজ করছেন।
তার এই স্বেচ্ছাশ্রমের মূল লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে—আইনশৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীকে তথ্যগত সহায়তা প্রদান, তরুণ সমাজকে অপরাধ ও মাদকের বিরুদ্ধে উদ্বুদ্ধ করা, নাগরিক অধিকার সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি এবং প্রশাসনিক স্বচ্ছতা ও জবাবদিহিতা প্রতিষ্ঠায় কার্যকর ভূমিকা রাখা।
এ বিষয়ে সাংবাদিক মুনীর চৌধুরী বলেন,
“দুর্নীতি ও অপরাধ বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম বড় সমস্যা। শুধু সরকারের একার পক্ষে এই ব্যাধি দূর করা সম্ভব নয়। এজন্য প্রয়োজন নাগরিক সচেতনতা, সামাজিক প্রতিরোধ এবং বেসরকারি উদ্যোগের সমন্বিত ভূমিকা। একটি মানবিক, নিরাপদ ও দুর্নীতিমুক্ত বাংলাদেশ গড়ার লক্ষ্য নিয়েই আমি প্রতিদিন ১৪-১৫ ঘণ্টা স্বেচ্ছাশ্রম দিচ্ছি।”
সমাজ বিশ্লেষক ও বিশিষ্টজনরা মনে করেন, মুনীর চৌধুরী প্রাইভেট ডিটেকটিভ লিমিটেড–এর এই উদ্যোগ সমাজে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনতে সহায়ক ভূমিকা রাখবে এবং তরুণ প্রজন্মকে দেশ ও সমাজের কল্যাণে এগিয়ে আসতে অনুপ্রাণিত করবে।

Journalist Munir Chowdhury Volunteers 14–15 Hours Daily to Build a Corruption-Free and Humane Bangladesh

Prominent journalist and social activist Munir Chowdhury has been working tirelessly to build a humane Bangladesh free from corruption, crime, and social injustice. Through the initiative of his organization, Munir Chowdhury Private Detective Ltd., he is dedicating 14 to 15 hours of voluntary service every day for the welfare of the country and its people.

Sources reveal that alongside his long-standing investigative journalism activities, he has been actively involved in raising awareness against corruption, eliminating crime from society, and protecting the rights of ordinary citizens. From local communities to the national level, he has consistently worked to create public awareness against various irregularities, crimes, and social degradation.

The primary objectives of his voluntary efforts include providing informational support to law enforcement agencies, motivating the younger generation against crime and drugs, increasing awareness of citizens’ rights, and contributing effectively to administrative transparency and accountability.

Speaking on the matter, journalist Munir Chowdhury said:

«“Corruption and crime are among the biggest challenges in Bangladesh. It is not possible for the government alone to eliminate these problems. What is needed is public awareness, social resistance, and the combined efforts of private initiatives. With the dream of building a humane, safe, and corruption-free Bangladesh, I am voluntarily dedicating 14 to 15 hours every day.”»
